Feeling Blue

I’m feeling blue, do let me explain,
Not with sorrow, nor with pain.
But blue like skies so vast and high,
A stretch of calm in a cloudless sky.

The blue of oceans, shifting wide,
Their whispers carried with each tide.
The blue of berries, rich and sweet,
A delightful treat in the summer heat.

The blue of wings mid daisy rows,
Where fluttering life and freedom grows.
The blue of gems in sun’s gleam,
A sparkle caught within a dream.

The blue of eyes, so full of cheer,
That crinkle when a laugh draws near.
The peacock’s plume, a royal show,
A elegant shimmer in its mystic glow.

The Bluemist blooms on twigs so fine,
Unfolding soft at morning’s sign.
I am feeling blue, but don’t sigh when I say
My blues are of a different shade.

Almost always.
